Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you book a clean with Tidal in Ireland: bookings, prices in euro, payment, cancellation and your statutory rights as a consumer.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Welcome to Tidal. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services in Ireland and form a binding agreement between you ("Customer") and Tidal Services Limited ("Tidal", "we", "us" or "our"). By booking or using our services you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

1. About Tidal

1.1 Who we are. Tidal Services Limited is a cleaning services company. Our own local cleaners carry out the cleaning, and our office team handles quotes, bookings, reminders and payment.

1.2 Business information. Company name: Tidal Services Limited. Company number: 12637144, registered in England and Wales. Registered address: F01 The Incubation Centre, Durham Way South, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 6XP, United Kingdom.

1.3 Scope. These Terms apply to all services offered by Tidal to residential and commercial customers in Ireland.

2. Scope of services

2.1 Services provided. We offer the following cleaning services:

  • Window cleaning (residential and commercial)
  • Gutter clearing
  • Fascia, soffit and gutter cleaning
  • Conservatory roof cleaning
  • Solar panel cleaning

2.2 Additional services. Additional services may be introduced or offered case by case. Specific terms for such services will be communicated at the time of booking.

2.3 Geographical coverage. Our services in Ireland are available in Dublin city and county, with further areas added as our cleaners' rounds grow. Prices and availability may vary by location.

2.4 Independent contractors. All services are performed by independent subcontractors approved by Tidal. Tidal acts as a platform to arrange these services, handles the booking and payment, and provides the re-clean guarantee set out in these Terms.

3. Booking process

3.1 How to book. You can request a quote through our website, and book through our website, our app where available, or by email or phone with our office. You will receive confirmation by email, text message or app notification once your booking is accepted.

3.2 Information required. Accurate details about the property, including your Eircode and any access instructions, must be provided at the time of booking. Failure to provide accurate information may result in cancellation or additional charges.

3.3 Amendments to bookings. Amendments must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. Tidal reserves the right to decline amendments made less than 24 hours in advance.

4. Pricing and payments

4.1 Pricing. Prices are quoted in euro and include VAT where applicable. Prices are based on the scope of the service and the property. Tidal reserves the right to adjust a price if the property description is inaccurate or the conditions on site differ from those stated. Any discounts will be shown at the time of booking.

4.2 Payment terms. Payment methods: card (via Stripe), Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash. Payment must be completed within 24 hours of the service being completed. You are not charged before the clean.

4.3 Late payments. If payment is not received within 28 days, the outstanding amount may be referred to a debt collection agency and additional fees may be incurred as a result.

4.4 Refund policy. Refunds are available where a complaint is raised within 48 hours of the service being completed and a free re-clean has been offered but is found unsatisfactory by the customer. This does not limit your statutory rights.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

5.1 Your 14-day right to cancel. If you are a consumer and you book online, by email or by phone, you have the right under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 to cancel the contract within 14 days of the day it is made, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us by email or phone within that period. If you ask us to carry out a clean during the 14 days, you agree that we may start, and if you then cancel you will pay a proportionate amount for the services provided up to the time you told us. Once a clean has been fully carried out at your request, the right to cancel that clean no longer applies.

5.2 Cancellation of a scheduled clean by the customer. Beyond the 14-day period, cancellations of a scheduled visit must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. Same-day cancellations may incur a charge equal to the full booking amount.

5.3 Cancellation by Tidal. Tidal reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a service due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather or cleaner unavailability. You will be notified promptly and we will reschedule at the earliest convenience.

5.4 No-show policy. If access to the property is not provided on the scheduled day, Tidal reserves the right to charge the full service amount.

5.5 Regular services. For 4- or 8-weekly services, a minimum of three cleans is required, subject to your rights in clause 5.1.

6. Customer responsibilities

6.1 Access. You must ensure the property is accessible at the scheduled time. Gates must be unlocked and all necessary instructions provided in advance.

6.2 Safety. Pets must be kept indoors during the service. Gardens must be cleared of hazards, including dog waste, to keep our cleaners safe.

6.3 Property descriptions. You are responsible for providing an accurate description of the property. Inaccurate information may result in additional charges or cancellation.

7. Tidal's responsibilities

7.1 Service quality. Tidal ensures that all cleaners meet professional standards. A free re-clean guarantee is offered for complaints raised within 48 hours of the service being completed.

7.2 Insurance. Cleaners carry their own public liability insurance. Any claim for damage must be directed to the cleaner concerned, and Tidal will help you make contact.

7.3 Adverse weather. Services will be rescheduled if weather conditions prevent the job being completed safely.

8. Limitations and exclusions

8.1 Interior access. Cleaners do not enter the property unless this has been explicitly agreed.

8.2 Liability for damage. Tidal is not liable for damage that existed before the service. Liability for damage caused during the service lies with the cleaner who carried it out. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law.

9. Complaints and disputes

9.1 Raising a complaint. Complaints must be raised within 48 hours of the service being completed, by email, phone or through the app.

9.2 Resolution. Tidal will aim to resolve complaints promptly and fairly. Resolutions may include a free re-clean, a partial refund or another appropriate remedy.

9.3 Consumer help. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint, you may contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for information on your rights.

10. Privacy and data protection

10.1 Tidal collects personal data, including contact details and your address, to provide the service, and for marketing where you have agreed to it. You can opt out of marketing at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and your rights.

10.2 Payment security. Card details are held securely by our payment provider, Stripe, and never by Tidal. Payment is taken once the service is completed.

11. Fraudulent and abusive behaviour

11.1 Tidal reserves the right to refuse service to anyone engaging in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

11.2 Fraudulent activity will be reported to the authorities, and damages may be pursued.

12. Amendments to these Terms

12.1 Tidal may amend these Terms from time to time. Changes do not affect bookings already confirmed unless required by law.

12.2 Customers will be notified of changes by email or app notification.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute may be brought before the courts of Ireland. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause takes away any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.
